SECTION III: LICENSURE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
As licensure requirements may change without notice, it is the responsibility of the applicant to confirm the requirements for licensure in their home state. It also is the responsibility of the applicant to confirm their state requirements for online, out-of-state education. If review by the Department of Counseling identifies states with requirements that do not align with our programs, applicants from those states may not be considered for admission without additional written documentation from their state. I understand, that if I am a non-Texas resident, that I am not eligible to take the Texas certification exam or to apply for School Counseling Certification in Texas and that I must contact my state’s Department of Education for School Counselor certification requirements. I understand that my application may be denied at the department level if it is determined that the chosen program will not meet my state’s standards.
Please view Out of State Approval site for more information.
