If the form is not completed in a satisfactory manner, you will be asked to re-submit the form with corrections. Use your latest, valid documents and information.


All documents must meet with the University Admissions Policy and the Department of Homeland Security federal regulations.  Lamar University cannot issue a SEVIS Transfer I-20 until all documentation as requested is received and your current school starts the SEVIS record transfer. If your SEVIS record is in terminated status, please DO NOT have it transferred to Lamar University until you have received our written instructions to do so.

For graduate students who receive a $1,000.00 scholarship and out-of-state waiver from your Department and College of Graduate Studies, the total amount you’re required to submit in your financial guarantee will be $20,002 only.

If you have F-2 dependents with you, your spouse will add $6,526 to your estimated expenses, and each child will add $5,136.
